Michael has traveled 75 countries across the globe, 10 within the continent of Africa, and has even journeyed across the state of Iowa for its annual Ragbrai bike ride event. When Michael is back home in Illinois he enjoys spending time outdoors, gardening and occasionally relaxing in his hammock. Now that he has “retired” from his pastime coaching softball and running softball leagues he tries to find more time for his photography. Michael’s Africa credentials include serving on the APTA National Board and as APTA Midwest Chapter President – Association for the Promotion of Tourism to Africa. Michael will attend to your needs with a smile and the insights of a seasoned travel veteran. Throughout his trips to Africa and planning safaris for many others, he has gained a great passion for this unparalleled continent and its wildlife. When comparing Africa to any other destination he explains that nothing else compares because your experiences in Africa will be unique to you and unlike anyone else's.
